Curators ofthe Classics

Every model, design, and feature tells a story about the automotive industry, and the automotive industry tells the story of America. Someone must keep that history alive, and who better to do it than the experts at Classic Mechanics.

Zero to Now in Less than 30 Years

From humble beginnings to a nationally recognized garage, we always kept our foot on the gas.

1999

Jim Wagner established Classic Mechanical LLC.

AboutClassic Mechanics

Located in Appleton, Wisconsin, Classic Mechanics is a garage that specializes in antique vehicles, both foreign and domestic. Along with MidwestEV (Electric Vehicles), Classic Mechanics goes the extra mile to keep your wheels on the road.

Cars, People &Passion

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a greater collection of knowledgeable, skilled, and dedicated automotive technicians than our team at Classic Mechanics. For us, this isn’t just a career, it’s a calling.

Brock Camden

Assistant Manager

Originally from Canada, where he worked on several Thunderbirds in his grandfather’s shop, Brock got his degree in Automotive Restoration at McPherson College in Kansas. He always knew he wanted to work on cars growing up, a passion kept alive by our enthusiastic customers.

Al Pagel

Al Pagel

Transportation

Al is a 3rd-generation car guy, learning engines from his antique tractor-collecting grandfather and his car-aficionado father. Inspired by working on automotive history and the joy it brings our customers, he has a background as a technician and knows how to get the right parts for each project, so the finished product is as authentic as possible.

Nathan Fuhrmann

Automotive Technician

Nate specializes in carburetors, engine swaps & upgrades, transmission swaps, and more, but his biggest contribution is his passion for the work at Classic. He loves the challenge; each car presents its own problems and solutions, and each car has an invested owner. He’s also a volunteer advisor for the Fox Valley Tech racing club, encouraging the next generation of car enthusiasts.

Scott Rosin

Automotive Technician

Scotty found his love of cars working on muscle cars from the 70s, but he’s especially fascinated with big fins, long hoods, and trunks of the 50s & 60s. He specializes in brakes, suspensions, and alignments, but his passion for cars he’s never seen in person is his biggest contribution to the shop.

Derek Waslo

Detailing

Derek has been a car guy ever since he could pick up a crayon. He and his dad would work on cars together as well as his go-kart and, eventually, his own car when he turned 16. He’s been detailing cars since he was 15, even operating his own business for several years before joining the Classic team as our resident detailer. A big movie buff, he likes to spend time with his close friends, and most importantly, his daughter.

Troy Kehl

Automotive Technician

Troy Kehl, like most of our mechanics, started working on cars when he was a little youngster. He was recently a technician at an automotive dealer, but ultimately wanted to work more closely with classic cars. Troy comes from a classic car loving family, so of course he has his own ‘57 Chevy and multiple other cruisers. Troy has worked on a wide variety of classics and enjoys the end result of seeing classic cars on the road. When Troy isn’t as Classic Mechanics, you can find him cruising in his ‘57 Chevy or riding on the back roads exploring the scenery, camping, or going to car shows. You could also find him helping his friends and family with projects, or enjoying games nights with them as well.

Not Just Mechanics,Classic Mechanics

Working on the chassis

Equal parts passion and prowess, what sets our team apart from other mechanics is a continual urge to better our craft; not just for the cars, but for each other. If that sounds like you, we may have a career for you.
